For a variety of reasons, many people who want to own an original oil painting by Adamo cannot. The cost of the original perhaps exceeds what they had budgeted for such an acquisition or the original oil painting they want may have already been sold. To make these paintings available to such collectors, Adamo has reproduced some of his most sought after paintings as museum quality giclée prints.

What is a giclée? Giclée fine art reproductions are digitized images scanned from the original paintings and printed directly onto high-quality cotton canvas. Utilizing pigmented inks (rather than dyes) in an ultra high-resolution ink jet printing process, giclée reproductions are a modern marvel, the closest possible duplication of original paintings ever achieved.

Adamo produces his giclée prints in the same size as his original painting. He personally stretches each giclée reproduction onto stretcher bars and varnishes it to protect it from the elements. Notwithstanding the close approximation of these giclée prints to his original works, he further enhances the depth of color and luminosity of each reproduction with oil-color glazes as he deems necessary. Finally, Adamo sets each giclée print into a frame similar to that of the original.

To maintain the value of these giclée reproductions of his original oil paintings, Adamo strictly limits each edition to no more than thirty prints. Each comes with its numbered Certificate of Authenticity, personally signed by the artist.

These giclée reproductions on canvas do not require framing under glass because of the protective varnish. However, they should not hang either in direct sunlight or in damp environments. These simple precautions will assure that these giclée prints will retain their brilliance for decades.
